Melissa is a Cantonese1–Malaysian graphic designer. Early in her career, as a self-taught designer she gained experience working across multiple design fields (branding, web, publishing, industrial design.) Following in which she co-led a small design outfit focused on visual identities and environmental graphics. After, (and since then) she has been freelancing as an independent designer. In between, she went on to earn a BDes in Graphic Design from the Koninklijke Academie van Beeldende Kunsten (KABK), Den Haag.
Currently navigating a war-life balance in Kyiv, by way of Amsterdam › Zandvoort › Maastricht (seeked refuge), Den Haag (studied), and Kuala Lumpur & Petaling Jaya (born & raised.) Raised bilingual2 amidst a backdrop of Letrasets and Prismacolor markers, in a multi-cultural setting. Her favourite pastimes include browsing supermarkets 🛒 and occasionally drawing 🖍️
