Dear Friends,
On January 17, 2024 the Dutch high court (Raad van State) gave their final ruling on my protection status. It will end on March 4, 2024. I’ll have to return to Ukraine, UNLESS I get a work permit sponsorship.

Since the full-scale invasion in Ukraine erupted on 24-02-2022, the lives of my loved ones and I completely tumbled upside down. I’ve been learning to live with the aftermath: displacement, countless anguish moments, being forced apart from my husband, to name just a few. Thankfully I was able to seek refuge in the Netherlands, where I’d studied before the war, albeit repeatedly grappling with bureaucracy due to me being a “third-country national from Ukraine.”
Currently, I’m facing (yet) another challenge. On March 4, 2024 my protection status in the Netherlands will end. I’m seeking to stay safe in Europe, in close proximity to my husband (he’s hindered from leaving Ukraine due to their ongoing martial law.) As much as we desire deeply for us to reunite (we’ve not seen each other in person for almost 2 years), returning long term poses safety risks at the moment.
And so Marching 4th-wards (pun very much intended!), I’m seeking any opportunities* (in the Netherlands, Europe, or UK) where I can contribute my creative strengths. The only caveat is that I *will require work permit sponsorship—a tall order, I know. Given any circumstances, I’m equipped and ready to turn lemons into lemonades.
